Trans-Plan uses and develops applications that efficiently predict and quantify the levels of vibration and acoustic noise that we feel. We assess a variety of sources, including road, rail and air transportation as well as industrial developments and mechanical equipment. The data, analysis and solutions we provide then help municipalities, architects, planners, and other sectors in their decision-making processes.

Environmental 

For future residential developments, a noise impact assessment shows the predicted noise from transportation and industrial sources and recommends mitigation measures through architectural upgrades and sound barrier installations.

For industrial developments, a noise study will incorporate measurement of sound levels at the source as well as manufacturer’s sound data and predicted levels to produce a noise map of the site to compare propagated sound levels against guideline requirements. Any excess will determine the mitigation solutions required, from silencers to enclosures to barriers.
